Artist Bio
Kimberly ‘Galaxxxy’ Tate (she/they/we) is a Filipinx multidisciplinary embodied truth-seeker living on unceded lands of the Lenape and Canarsie people.

Current creative/life inquires are around Asean cultural practices for spiritual and ecological resilience; deepening honourable relationships with material ecologies; co-creating collective care spaces for BIPOC; and stitching mutual-aid networks among new mothers in her urban village. She explores installation and architecture as choreographic tools for guided somatic movement experiments with her project DANCITECTURE.

As faculty at Parsons School of Design at the New School she is developing contemplative body-based practices for design. She is also a K-12 design educator with the AIANY Center for Architecture.
