2021 Creative Action Fund | shapes of red hook

shapes of red hook is a collaboration between shapelight and Falconworks Theater Company. A community-generated, ephemeral, altar-like, public art installation honoring the landscapes, lineages and multiple communities, residents and beings of current and historical Red Hook. It is also: a visual ceremony, a sacred altar, a playful exploration. The ever-changing public installation will include collective rituals, workshops and performances centered on the question: What does Red Hook mean to you?
