Kelly Street Collaborative

In partnership with Workforce Housing Group, Kelly Street Garden, and Banana Kelly Community Improvement Association, The Laundromat Project has transformed a 2 bedroom-apartment on Kelly Street in Longwood, South Bronx into a thriving creative community hub, with artist studios, arts programming, and community partnerships that allow us to engage the larger Kelly Street community.

The seeds for the Kelly Street Collaborative were planted when 2014 Create Change Fellows Seyi Adebanjo, Ro Garrido, Alison Kibbe, Sasha Phyars-Burgess, and Priscilla Stadler partnered with the Kelly Street Garden to create the Grow Love project at Field Day 2014.

The LP is thrilled to be part of the Kelly Street community as we work closely with our neighbors, engaging arts, culture, and local creativity to co-create an inspiring vision of community together.

Major funding for the Kelly Street Collaborative is provided by the New York Community Trust and Surdna Foundation.
